PHP SCRIPT (non wordpress)
Our successful WordPress Plugin Gift Certificate Reloaded is now available in a stand-alone PHP Script. You can run Gift Certificates in your html or php based website without running wordpress. The script have a new feature and function not found in the wordpress version. Checkout out a few of the most useful utilities.
It includes most of the basic to advance options such as:
• EASY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
It has pre populated information placed for you. You only need to edit to your needs.
• CAMPAIGN SET UP
You can set as many shortcodes as you please and each is unique from each other. The paramaters are set individually. For example you want to show one certificate for $100.00 and another for $250.00, and so on, with the campaign set up, you are able to accomplish this.
• CURRENCY SELECTOR
You can select the currency that Paypal accepts
• PAYPAL SANDBOX MODE
This is very useful to test transactions before going live. A paypal developer id is required.
• PERSONAL CERTIFICATE
A certificate that can be purchased by any visitor just needing a quick buy for a gift or self use.
• FLEXIBLE CERTIFICATE OPTION
An option to sell certificates that requires flexibility. For example, if you’re a coach, trainer, teacher, masseuse, or a time base business you can set the minimum amount in admin side, so if a visitor places an amount less than your set minimum, it will show a warning to correct it. Very useful for time session establishments.
• GROUP CERTIFICATE OPTION
Another great feature that you can offer your customers. Let’s say you are a museum, tour guide, charter, or any type of group involvement, you can now offer this option. Instead of creating many certificates, it can now be set to only 1, it will be per group. The parameters are set in admin side.
• LOGO PLACEMENT
You can brand your business by placing your logo, or any special ocassion graphic to your certificate. [Only available in Plus + and Developers version] PRINTABLE TRANSACTIONS All the certificates sold are stored in the admin side, now you can export them in a detailed csv file for your records.
• TIME AND SALES LIMIT MODE
Do you cater to business by offering coupons (certificates)? This is a great tool just for that. You can set the time that the certificate can go live and when it can expire. Also on the sales limit mode you can set how many certificates can be sold, so if you only want to sell 50, then it will automatically not allow anymore purchases, the offer (shortcode used) will be gone.
• CONDITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS
Whenever you require a particular condition to be declared, you can place that info in the admin side, where it will print along with the certificate. Another useful feature that to set your own rules for the certificate.
• NULL EXPIRATION
If you want to offer gift certificates or vouchers that do not expire, you can do so now with this new option “Lifetime validity” until redeemed.
Now you can offer your customers a way to personalize the certificate when it is purchased. On the front end, they will be presented with a checkbox to enable “Personalize” option, when checked it will bring a new drop down menu, where they can place who it is from and a brief message. The message box can be any length that you place in the admin side. However, we recommend up to 50 characters.
• ADDRESS COLLECTION
This is a new way to collect your customers mailing address. With this new information, you can send special promotions, or any related printed media material that your customer wants to receive. The information collected can be viewed in the CSV file generated from the Transactions tab.
• CAMPAIGN DUPLICATION
This option is a time saver. If you’re running multiple campaigns that are expired, and instead of starting a new campaign with the same details. This new feature will copy everything done in prior campaign, you can edit anything from the new copied campaign, such as expiration date, logo, etc.
You can go for a test drive to another webpage (non wordpress). PHP SCRIPT TEST
A: Shortcodes are generated when you create a campaign and save it. The shortocode will show as (You can see this pic for reference)
A: Depending on your setup, no IPN url will be required as the script sends the data through cURL and PayPal will send the data back, where the script will do the posting and do its functions. But, if required, you can use the following: http://my own domain name.com/gift_certificate.php?”]gc_ipn=gc_paypal (replace mydomainname.com with your site domain).
A: We have taken every step to ensure functionality under common server installations. As there are many different configurations, it will be impossible to address each single type, due to this we cannot guarantee compatibility and being a digital product it cannot be subject to refunds or credit.
A: The script runs on PHP5+ which contains the GD2 library. 99.9% of the time this library (GD2) is enabled by your server webhost, please check with your webhost and ask them to enable GD2 library if it is not enabled to begin with. Once enabled you’ll be able to see the QR Code graphic. Alternatively, there are 2 ways to check your webserver php settings and see if GD library is enabled. You can open your text editor (such as notepad) then place the following info in it:
< ?”]php phpinfo();?”] > (note: take out the space after before/ater ?”])Then save the file as phpinfo.php. Upload this saved filed (phpinfo.php) to your root folder such as /public_html/
Follow by entering in your browser http://www.mysite.com/phpinfo.php (Replace mysite.com with your website address) You’ll see a screen with your server setup PHP version. To search for
this GD2 library while in your browser press CTRL+F (browser search function) and search for GD Library, or GD Support, see attached pic for sample. After checking and if GD library (version 2 +) is not visible, then contact your web host to enable it.
A: Please follow the instructions below:
1. Create any page that you want to redirect people to. This usually is a thank you page, but you can redirect them wherever you’d like.
2. Copy the shortcode of any campaign you want to sell
3. Paste the following info into the page where you’re SELLING the
certificate. For example if your shortcode is then rewrite it as:
< iframe class=”cFrame” width=”100%” height=”500″ style=”border:none;” src=”http://www.my own domain name.com/php-script/gift_certificate.php?”]gc_show=4&return_path=http://www.my own domain name.com/thank-you.html”>< /iframe>
This will prompt paypal to direct them to the SELLING certificate page, but in the interim, it will redirect to whatever page you placed in the shortcode.
A: The email that your customer received as not ;Payment not completed; has to do with your PayPal settings from PayPal website and not from the plugin. One way to remedy this is to go to your PayPal account and make sure that you’re not restricting certain type of payments. Also, make sure that you are enabling receiving payments, or automatically accepting payments, instead of approving payments manually. It all depends on how you want to handle payments for your business. To automatically receive/accept payment from paypal, you can check the 2 pics which shows the menues from PayPal that you need to edit, this is in the profile page.
WE’RE COMING OUT WITH A NEW CONCEPT FOR PHP SCRIPT…STAY TUNED.
